Kauai Tranquility

The glorious pool at the St Regis Princeville.

The glorious pool at the St Regis Princeville.

I recently returned from a business trip to Maui and Kauai.  Lucky me!  I wanted to share the above postcard money shot taken at the St. Regis Princeville in Kauai.  I toured this property on a drizzly Sunday morning.  It was stunningly beautiful!  You need to scrap together your pennies to stay here, but worth every cent.  Enjoy the view!

Micro Library #15

An adorable cottage library.

An adorable cottage library.

The newest addition to the micro library network in South Pasadena.  My husband and mother alerted me to this one.  On an idyllic, treelined street set amongst mature landscaping, this micro library is a winner in the curb appeal department.  Time to check out some books!

Cricut Friday: Robot Birthday Card #4

The perfect pet!

The perfect pet!

Another robot birthday card for my robot-loving nephew.  You need the following tools and supplies to create this card:

  • Cricut machine
  • Cricut Robotz cartridge
  • Cuttlebug machine
  • embossing folder
  • cardstock adhesive
  • googly eyes

Fold the blue cardstock so it is a finished size of 4.25″x 5.5″ and cut the white cardstock to 5.25″x 4″. Cut all of the pieces for the robot at 5″. Adhere all of the pieces of the robot together. Run the white cardstock through the Cuttlebug machine to emboss.  Adhere the robot to the embossed cardstock and googly eyes to the robot.

My nephew loves Legos.  He can’t get enough of them and he builds the kits in a matter of hours.  The Lego creations are proudly displayed in his room and hopefully, the robot cards I have created for him are alongside these masterpieces.
