Cricut Friday: Birthday Card #30

Paint Chip Birthday Card

Paint Chip Birthday Card

Pinterest is a constant source of inspiration.  I pinned this card a while ago and finally decided it was time to create my own version.  You need the following tools and supplies to create this card:

  • Cricut machine
  • Cricut Create a Critter 2 cartridge
  • paint chips
  • gems
  • cardstock
  • adhesive
  • foam tape

Fold the white cardstock so it is a finished size of 4.25″x 5.5″.  Cut happy birthday from the Create a Critter 2 cartridge at 1.5″.  Trim the paint chips to varying widths.  Adhere the paint chips to the card.  Adhere happy birthday to the paint chip base with foam tape and finish with the gems.

Daughter Lilac

Sweet as can be!

Sweet as can be!

Something amazing happened!  Our lilac tree produced an offspring and here she is.  My husband noticed this anomaly before I did.  As I have posted before, our weather in Southern California this year has been uncharacteristic to say the least.  Unseasonably warm for long stretches of time and rain in the summer and early fall.  Quite unusual.  To have a lilac tree in this warm climate, we have a specific variety and it only blooms in February or March.  That is it, nothing more.  Welcome, Daughter Lilac, we hope you stay awhile.

Life has been good, but busy.  I have taken three trips, one business and two personal, within the last two months.  I am getting back into my daily rhythm and will have much to share with you including travel photos, travel tips and lots of greeting cards.  Thanks for waiting and in the meantime, picture yourself here enjoying a tall, refreshing tropical drink while relaxing on this gorgeous private beach.
