Cricut Friday: Robot Birthday Card #3

Robots rule!

Robots rule!

My nephew loves robots so he definitely needed a robot birthday card.  You need the following tools and supplies to create this card:

Fold the blue cardstock so it is a finished size of 4.25″x 5.5″ and cut the white cardstock to 5.25″x 4″. Cut all of the pieces for the robot at 3.5″. Adhere all of the pieces of the robot together. Run the white cardstock through the Cuttlebug machine to emboss.  Adhere the robot to the embossed cardstock and googly eyes and epoxy stickers to the robot.

My nephew enjoys creating and building with Legos or anything of that sort.  This is the third robot that I have created from this cartridge and love the challenge of adding the embellishments to make them even more special.  I heard he loved it and wouldn’t be surprised if it was on display in his new bedroom.

Cricut Friday: Birthday Card #25

Happy Colorful Birthday!

Happy Colorful Birthday!

I was inspired by this card on Pinterest.  You need the following tools and supplies to create this card:

Fold the white cardstock so it is a finished size of 4.25″x 5.5″. Cut happy from Straight from the Nest at 1.5″ and birthday from Tiny Treasures at 1.25″. Adhere happy birthday to the cardstock.

I love the graphic look of this card and wouldn’t be surprised if I made it again.  I think it is that fabulous and was super easy to make.  What do you think?

Blooming Lilacs

Such a gentle, sweet scent!

Such a gentle, sweet scent!

It is lilac time!  When we purchased our home, we were thrilled that we inherited a mature lilac tree.  The first year was a little rough because it had been neglected over the years and was overgrown.  With instructions from a landscape gardener, I gave it some tough love and cut it back hard.  Now, it blooms every March and provides the most delightful sprigs of lilacs.  My husband climbs the ladder to reach the tallest blooms and with the cuttings I am able to fill my grandmother’s Lenox vase with these beauties.  The scent wafts through our dining room and reminds me that spring is around the corner.

The lilac branches are bowed under the weight of the flowers: blooming is hard, and the most important thing is – to bloom. – Yevgeny Zamyatin

Cricut Friday: Birthday Card #24

Celebrate with flourish!

Celebrate with flourish!

A birthday card for a colleague that celebrated her birthday in January.  You need the following tools and supplies to create this card:

Fold the white cardstock so it is a finished size of 4.25″x 5.5″ and cut the white cardstock to 5.25″x 4″. Cut all of the pieces for the gift at 4″. Adhere all of the pieces of the gift together. Run the white cardstock through the Cuttlebug machine to emboss.  Adhere the gift to the embossed cardstock.

This image is from a new cartridge that I recently purchased and all of the images have great flair.  Something simple with a little flourish.  Love it!
