Crafted Living

Living a crafted life!

Photography Monday: Doors of Alexandria

Alexandria, Virginia, founded in 1749, has a fascinating history and many of its historic buildings are still preserved today.  We strolled through part of historic Alexandria and I was enchanted by the doors of the historic homes.

This home is on the historic register exemplified by the oval marker to the right of the door.

What a charming entrance!

What a charming entrance!

A more stately, traditional approach for a front entrance.

Such a grand entrance!

Definitely grand!

A blue door...how fabulous is that!

Each entrance was its own vignette filled with charm, formality and sometimes a touch of whimsy.

Next week, we will explore Christ Church in Alexandria.
